Monrovia, 18 August 2017 – National Elections Commission (NEC) of Republic of Liberia today launched the Civic and Voter Education for the 2017 Presidential and Representative Elections. Guest of the event was the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIL, Farid Zarif. He congratulated the citizens of Liberia and inquired them “to make sure there is no misstep taken in the process that will lead towards increasing the level of tensions, leading to potential violence and disruption of the whole process”.
