UNIFIL meets Lebanese youth to discuss role in furthering peace

UNIFIL’s military and civilian peacekeepers joined various UN agencies in Lebanon in an NGO fair in Beirut earlier this week to speak with Lebanese youth about the work of UN Peacekeeping in south Lebanon in furthering peace. The 23-24 April NGO Fair was organized, under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs, Pierre Bou Assi, in the campuses of the American University of Beirut (AUB) and Université Saint Joseph (USJ). The UN’s participation in the Fair was to promote a better understanding, among a wide spectrum of the Lebanese population, of the activities carried out by a large number of UN entities in Lebanon.
